It's Labor Day weekend. Sad to say, but summer is over, schools are back in session and there is precious little time left for folks to dance and party under the sun and stars.
There are a few great places to have that last hurrah of the summer. Among them are the massive annual hometown celebrations in Griffith and Michigan City, where live entertainment, food, libations and fun fill the town.
The Rock 'N' Rail Music and Street Festival returns to Griffith tonight through Sunday with three stages pumping out music each night starting at 5:30 p.m. today with a main stage of three country tribute bands playing homage to the songs of, respectively, Jason Aldean, Toby Keith and Garth Brooks.
