A 76-year-old man was hospitalized after a tree fell on him on Wednesday, Aug. 27, authorities said.

At 4:26 p.m., the man was operating a tractor in a wooded area at Hollow Road near Servis Road when a tree fell on him, pinning him to the tractor, Montgomery police said.

The Montgomery police side-by-side utility vehicle was utilized to assist transporting rescue workers to the patient, and transport the patient out of the woods, law enforcement said.

The man was airlifted to Robert Wood Johnson Hospital in New Brunswick, police said.
