ASHLEY — Police in Ashley Borough are seeking the identity of a man who stole a bag of tools from a vehicle on Barnes Street early Wednesday morning.

Police reported a woman noticed a man enter her husband’s pick-up truck and stole a bag of tools at about 7 a.m. The woman followed the man as he walked on Barnes Street who threatened the woman before fleeing in a 2024 Honda Accord.

Police said the Honda was reported stolen from the parking lot of Mohegan Pennsylvania in Plains Township.

The woman followed the Honda obtaining the license plate before she lost the vehicle.

Another witness reported seeing the man attempting to enter vehicles prior to stealing tools from the vehicle on Barnes Street, police reported.
