Drew Brees-backed Smalls Sliders is bringing a new location to Elmwood, and it's newly trademarked Smorange container drops Thursday.

It will be in Elmwood's busy shopping corridor, at 845 S. Clearview Parkway in Jefferson Parish, next to the Raising Cane's.

Like the Metairie location that opened last year, it'll be co-owned by former Saints quarterback Drew Brees and his two roommates from Purdue University, Jason Loerzel and Ben Smith, and operated by Melissa Kernaghan, director of operations at Boilermaker Ventures.

Most recently, a Smalls Sliders opened in Covington in May, and that franchisee said more were likely on the way in Hammond and Chalmette.
