The Cubs lost to the Giants 12-3 Wednesday evening at Oracle Park. It was the first time they’d allowed double figures since also giving up 12, to the White Sox, July 25 at Rate Field.

Well, you’ve probably heard enough, right? There’s another game today.

Oh. Right. You come here for a game recap and by gum, you are going to get one, though it’s not going to be very long and it’s not going to be pretty.

There were failed opportunities. There was not-so-good pitching. There was an error charged to Kyle Tucker for hitting a Giant in the helmet with a throw. Reese McGuire pitched an inning (shown above).
