Northwest Indiana comes alive with tradition as Labor Day approaches with numerous celebrations, festivals, picnics and cultural events.

Highlighting the list of holiday activities is the 75th annual Lowell Labor Day Fest. The festival, which lasts three days, is packed with activities for all ages, including a kids zone, dinosaur day, petting zoo, parade, fireworks, races, games and live music.

The Town of Lowell's Labor Day parade is partnering with the Fest for its 106th annual Labor Day parade. The event will include the 71st annual Kiddie Parade and the 23rd fireworks display. This year's parade theme is "Lowell's Next Chapter," reflecting the town's growth and new developments.
