The New England Patriots cut their roster down to 53 players on Tuesday, but the work for the team didn’t stop there. With hundreds of players hitting waivers, the Patriots scoured the open market, while also keeping an eye on the guys they wanted to add to their practice squad.

After initially keeping eight wide receivers on their 53-man roster, the Patriots quickly made a change at that spot, opting to release Kendrick Bourne and Javon Baker after they claimed quarterback Tommy DeVito and cornerback Charles Woods off of waivers.
