Plans for a shuttered Rite Aid store in Southeast Portland to be redeveloped into a 200-plus-unit multifamily complex continue to move forward. The project, led by Seneca Development Co., has made a significant step in the revitalization of the bustling intersection of Southeast Division Street and Cesar E. Chavez Boulevard with the purchase of the project site for approximately $3.5 million, according to a report from the Portland Business Journal. The site has been vacant since Rite Aid abruptly closed its doors in September 2023.
