20 years ago (2005)

Central Lakes College women’s soccer coach Noel Quinn knew the first few games his team played in its inaugural season would be rough. He wasn’t wrong as Rochester won the opener over CLC 11-0. It didn’t help that the Raider’s starting goalkeeper left the team just days before the game.

30 years ago (1995)

Perry Platisha and Bill Baker have pulled off a miracle. They will manage to bring 10 members of the 1980 U.S. Olympic Hockey “Miracle on Ice” team to Ruttger’s Bay Lake Lodge for a fund-raising golf tournament. Olympic team coach Herb Brooks will speak at the banquet.

40 years ago (1985)
