GLENDALE, Ky. — Workers at the BlueOval SK Battery Park have reportedly voted to unionize
The United Auto Workers Union posted this morning that a majority of the more than 1,400 workers at the Hardin County plant voted in favor of joining the UAW.
Representatives said there are 41 outstanding ballots but believe they will not change the outcome of the vote. In its victory statement, the union called on Ford to acknowledge the vote.
"They should immediately drop their anti-democratic effort to undermine the outcome of the election and recognize a majority of BlueOval SK's production and maintenance employees have chosen to join the UAW and ensure battery jobs in Kentucky are good, safe, union jobs," the UAW said.
