GREENBURG – At the request of the Decatur County Sheriff, Indiana State Police Detectives from the Versailles Post are investigating an officer-involved shooting that occurred in rural Decatur County on Wednesday.

At approximately 2:30 p.m., two Decatur County Deputies spotted a vehicle believed to be related to an earlier criminal incident in Ripley County. A Greensburg Police Officer responded to assist.

The suspect in the Ripley County incident was thought to be in the vehicle and was also wanted on an active arrest warrant for an unrelated matter. The officers pulled the vehicle over, which was occupied by two adult males and one adult female, on County Road 400 East just north of County Road 300 North near Greensburg.
