ATLANTA — If you ride MARTA through downtown Atlanta, expect changes next month.
Starting Saturday, Sept. 13, trains on the Red and Gold Lines will not stop at Garnett Station as construction crews work to replace the 40-year-old platform pavers. Service is expected to resume on Oct. 26, 2025, according to MARTA.
How MARTA riders will be affected
No train access at Garnett: Riders cannot enter or exit at the station during the renovation.
Shuttle service available: A free shuttle will connect Garnett and Five Points Station. MARTA says passengers should plan for an extra 15 minutes of travel time.
Nearby options: Customers can also use West End Station south of Garnett or Five Points Station north of Garnett.
Bus routes unchanged: Local bus service, including Route 40, will continue
