The half-century-old cola wars are alive and well at Costco, which announced early this year that it would begin shifting from Pepsi to Coca-Cola at food courts across its more than 600 U.S. locations this spring or summer.

Though Costco Insider, a website that closely tracks the warehouse giant’s every move, reported a California store was the first to institute the swap in late March, the change was only recently rolled out at some of Oregon’s 13 Costco locations. A manager from the Tigard Costco confirmed to The Oregonian/OregonLive that the location made the soda-fountain switch in mid-August. The full range of options — Coca-Cola, Diet Coke, Coke Zero and Sprite — was available at the Aloha Costco by early August.
