AUSTIN (Austin Business Journal) -- The most active passenger airline at Austin-Bergstrom International Airport isn't resting on its laurels.

Bob Jordan, CEO of Southwest Airlines Co., said the Dallas-based company aims to continue growing its operations in Austin — with plans that eventually could make ABIA its busiest airport in Texas.

“We're over 40% of the traffic here today, and our intent is to continue to grow our share of the market here,” Jordan said in a recent interview. “People are flocking to Austin because of the business environment and opportunities. We're going to move capacity where the opportunity is, and that growth is here.”
