EVANSVILLE, Ind. (WEVV) —Deaconess will soon host their 2nd Annual Breast Friends Survivor Walk.

Officials say it's a heartfelt celebration of strength, resilience, and hope for those impacted by Breast Cancer.

The free walk will take place on Saturday, September 27th from 10 a.m. to 12 p.m. at Deaconess Sports Park.

Participants will be able to enjoy a non-competitive one-mile walk.

Organizers say there will also be educational vendors providing resources on survivorship, cancer detection, and breast health.

There will also be a special memorial to honor those lost to breast cancer.

We're told participants can purchase a Breast Friends T-Shirt for $20, with proceeds benefiting the Deaconess Foundation's breast cancer support initiatives.
