In the early hours large explosions rocked Kyiv as sirens rang out.

Vladimir Putin’s huge Russian bombardment on the Ukrainian capital consisted of drones and missiles leaving multiple targets damaged. Several residential buildings were struck as Ukrainians rushed to shelters once again.

Daybreak revealed several apartment blocks had been turned into rubble with emergency crews and volunteers picking through it to search for survivors.
