Just days before the start of the 2025 NCAA college football season, tragedy has struck for Marcus Dickey.

Less than two weeks after former college football player Bailey Lenney died in a car accident, another player has met the same fate.

The Junior college football star tragically lost his life on Sunday at age 22 in a tragic car crash, Mississippi Gulf Coast Community College announced.

The 22-year-old was traveling to Perkinston for practice after attending the Nicholls football game in Thibodaux, La. Saturday. It was determined that a 2005 Lincoln Town Car driven by Marcus Dickey was traveling north on I-59 when it crossed the median and collided with a 2002 Freightliner semi-truck driven by 41-year-old Imran Sohna of San Antonio, Texas.
