SOCCER: SPARTANS FIND THEIR SPARK

Pinconning was looking for an offensive spark and found it.

The Spartans broke loose for a 7-1 victory over Shepherd, delivering their highest scoring game since 2020.

After scoring just one goal in its first four games, Pinconning (2-4, 2-2) has tallied 10 goals in its two-game, Jack Pine Conference winning streak.

“(Our) offense roared to life, spurred on by timely passes and hustle,” first-year Pinconning coach Mike Stoneback said.
