OMAHA, Neb. (WOWT) - The man extradited to Omaha as a suspect in a 2019 cold case murder will make a court appearance Thursday.

Cordell Bridgeman, 37, will appear in court at 1 p.m. Thursday to face a first-degree murder charge in the death of Andrea Georgeson.

The Omaha Police Homicide Unit arrested Bridgeman and booked him into Douglas County Corrections on Tuesday night, according to an OPD release.

The 41-year-old woman was shot by a robber while taking a break in her car on the first night of her second job. Officers found her dead in her vehicle at 4:26 a.m. that Wednesday morning, Oct. 23, 2019.

OPD said in an update Wednesday that Bridgeman had been serving a federal sentence on unrelated charges.
