Kirkland Lake residents will have an opportunity to provide input into proposed changes to the municipality’s procedure bylaw in the coming weeks.

An online survey will be posted on the town’s website from Aug. 29 to Sept. 12 and a public meeting will be held to allow for comments at town hall on Tuesday, Sept. 16, starting at 4:40 p.m.

Members of town council got to ask questions and provide their input during the Aug. 26 committee-of-the-whole meeting.

The town’s current procedure bylaw was approved in 2015, with three formal amendments since that time.

In 2016, an amendment was passed to enhance Section 21 to denote that minutes are taken without note or comment.
