CHICAGO — A Chicago man is facing a slew of felony charges in connection with a deadly shooting that unfolded on the West Side last year.
Chicago police say 24-year-old Christopher Ford, a Douglas resident, has been charged with several felonies, including first-degree murder, murder with the strong probability of death or injury, aggravated battery with the discharge of a firearm, two counts of attempted first-degree murder, and three counts of aggravated discharge of a firearm into an occupied vehicle.
Authorities say the charges stem from Ford's alleged role in a shooting that unfolded in the 1800 block of South Loomis Street, in Pilsen, on Aug. 18, 2024, during which a man lost his life and a woman was critically injured.
While it is unclear what led up to the shooting, officers sai
