DALLAS — Dallas Wings' guard Paige Bueckers addressed the deadly school shooting that occurred in her home state of Minnesota on Wednesday.
Bueckers sat out of the Wings' Wednesday home game against the Connecticut Suns due to illness, but spoke to reporters about the shooting ahead of the game. Two children were killed and 17 people were wounded when a gunman opened fire at Annunciation Catholic School in Minneapolis.
The shooter, 23-year-old Robin Westman, was armed with a rifle, shotgun and pistol, according to the Associated Press . He shot dozens of rounds through a window at children sitting in the pews during Mass.
