Two Afghan men have denied charges over the kidnap and rape of a 12-year-old girl in Nuneaton. Ahmad Mulakhil, 23, faces three rape counts and sexual assault, while Mohammad Kabir, 23, is accused of kidnap, strangulation and aiding and abetting rape. Both appeared at Warwick Crown Court on Thursday (28 Aug) with interpreters, speaking only to confirm their pleas. The pair, of no fixed address, were remanded in custody. A trial is set for 26 January 2026, expected to last five days. Protesters gathered outside court with banners demanding tougher immigration controls.
