Farmland can become landfill in Slate Belt, township supervisors decide in tight vote

By a 3-2 vote, agricultural land has been rezoned to make way for a landfill.

The Plainfield Township Board of Supervisors approved rezoning 212 acres from agricultural uses to solid waste disposal uses.
