The Labor Day weekend travel rush kicked into high gear Thursday.

Getting out of town is a bit cheaper this year, according to AAA travel data, and a record number of people are expected to fly for the holiday.

The Transportation Security Administration predicts 17.4 million people will fly between Thursday and Wednesday, which would set a record for the Labor Day holiday.
