APALACHICOLA, Fla. (WJHG/WECP) - A press conference was held in Apalachicola announcing the findings of a major investigation.
Officials announced the arrest of six child predators in Franklin County marking the first child predator investigation in a rural atea.
Multiple agencies made an appearance, including the Florida Department of Law Enforcement, FDLE Commissioner Mark Glass, Attorney General James Uthmeier, Franklin County Sheriff A.J. Smith, Liberty County Sheriff Dusty Arnold, Bay County Sheriff Tommy Ford, Tallahassee Police Department Deputy Chief Tonja Smith and HSI Tallahassee Assistant Special Agent in Charge Nicholas Ingegno.
