Viewer Question: Is there a price cap on how much a bottle of water can sell for at the New York State Fair?

This viewer said he saw a video floating around social media, claiming vendors can't sell water for more than $2 a bottle. He wanted to know if that was true.

That used to be the cap, but like most things, the price has gone up.

According to the New York State Fair website:

"The sale price of water will be capped at $3.00 per bottle for the duration of the 2025 New York State Fair."

The Fair said that the price cap is for standard-size bottles (16.9-20 Ounces).

When we checked prices, we saw most vendors selling water at that $3.00 limit. We only spotted one or two vendors selling it cheaper.
