SALT LAKE CITY – Police said the suspect in a 2020 shooting at the Missionary Training Center in Provo, Utah, pleaded guilty to attempted murder Tuesday.

Dallin William Litster, an Idaho resident, pleaded guilty to one count of attempted murder and five counts of felony discharge of a firearm in 4th District Court Wednesday, according to a press release from the Provo Police Department.

Police said on Aug. 3, 2020, police responded to a shooting at the guard booth of the Provo Missionary Training Center – a center owned by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. At the time of the shooting, police said a security guard was in the guard booth, located at 2005 900 E.
