On Wednesday representatives of the Brownwood Bass Club made a donation to the Brown County Water Improvement District for dock repairs. Long-time Bass Club members Tully Hair and Robert Brown presented a check of $1,000 to Water District General Manager John Allen. According to Allen, the money will be used for repairs and improvements to the public boat dock at Flat Rock Park.

Tully Hair said the Bass Club raises money with their Open Fishing Tournament, held every year in April. Over the years the club has made many donations like this one, in addition to things like the Kid Fish tournament. The club wants to show their appreciation for the good work done by the Water District. Helping to improve the public dock at Flat Rock Park should encourage more people to come fishing at Lake Bro
