PINE BLUFF, Ark. — Pine Bluff police officials announced that total reported crime in the city from July 21 through Aug. 24 fell 15% compared with the same period in 2024.
A total of 308 crimes were reported in 2025, down from 361 during the same period in 2024, officials said.
According to a spokesperson, homicides fell to one in 2025 from two in 2024, rapes dropped to three from four, robberies increased to seven from six, aggravated assaults fell to 29 from 38, simple assaults decreased to 109 from 116, commercial burglaries dropped to 12 from 15, residential burglaries fell to 17 from 24, thefts fell to 113 from 126, and vehicle thefts dropped to 18 from 31.
