Rochester, N.Y.-based Monroe Community Hospital will receive more than $10 million from the state government to expand capacity and care. The funds will be used to increase pediatric bed capacity, enhance care in the ventilator unit and renovate an adjacent outdoor playground, according to an Aug. 27 Monroe County news release.
“This grant is an extraordinary boost for MCH and the community we serve,” said Alyssa Tallo, executive health director of MCH. “It will help us expand and improve care in our pediatric and ventilator units, ensuring these vital services continue to meet the highest standards for years to come.
