PROSPECT PARK — THE INDIGENOUS LENAPE PEOPLE will be welcomed back to their ancestral homelands at a family-friendly event in Prospect Park’s LeFrak Center during the second weekend in September.

The Prospect Park Alliance will be co-presenting the Second United Lenape/Lunáapeew Nations Pow Wow at the LeFrak Center at Lakeside in Prospect Park on Saturday and Sunday, Sept. 13-14, from noon to 6 p.m. each day. The Alliance is partnering with the Éenda-Lŭnaapeewáhkiing Collective, which brings together Lunáapeew/Lenape communities who have been displaced across Turtle Island (North America), and American Indian Community House, which promotes the well-being and visibility of the American Indian community,
