VINEGAR HILL — A SILVER ALERT HAS BEEN ISSUED FOR LYDIA JOSEPH, an 82-year-old Black woman who may be in need of medical attention, according to an alert from Notify NYC on Thursday, Aug. 28.

Joseph was last seen near York and Gold streets in Vinegar Hill around 11 a.m. on Wednesday, Aug. 27. She is 5’ll,” weighs about 160 lbs. and has gray hair and brown eyes. When last seen, she was wearing blue jeans, blue sneakers, a green jacket, a white hat and was carrying a red bag. Members of the public who spot the missing person can call 1-800-577-8477 (TIPS) or 911.

The missing person was seen near a NYCHA complex. Vinegar Hill sits just to the west of the Brooklyn Navy Yard.
