HONOLULU (HawaiiNewsNow) - The Honolulu Fire Department responded to a 2-alarm house fire in Aina Haina early Thursday morning.

HFD said firefighters were dispatched to Lawelawe Street at around 4:40 a.m. to discovered a home engulfed in flames.

HFD said it took crews about 40 minutes to get the blaze under control.

Officials said a neighboring home also suffered damage.

No word on injuries at this time.

The fire’s cause and origin is under investigation.
