A month after the July 28 mass shooting that left three people dead and three injured at the Grand Sierra Resort in east Reno, the investigating agency has released no new information.

The Sparks Police Department is leading the investigation into Reno police officers' shooting of the suspect, Dakota Hawver.

Hawver, 26, of Reno, was taken to Renown Regional Medical Center in critical condition and died overnight on July 31 .

"As the investigation is still ongoing, no further information will be released at this time," Sparks Community Resource Officer Jacob Ross told the RGJ in an email.

At a public safety briefing on Tuesday, Aug. 26, Reno police Chief Kathryn Nance told the RGJ that Sparks Police Department would release any new information.
