Edmonton firefighters responded to an early morning fire at a strip mall in south Edmonton Thursday morning.

Crews arrived to the blaze at Chateau Lighting at 99 Street and 43 Avenue around 4:20 a.m.

EFRS says while the fire was brought under control at 5:56 a.m., crews were still working on scene to put out the fire as of 9:15 a.m.

Blackened walls and windows and broken glass could be seen at the location. Products inside the business were also damaged.

EFRS says no injuries were reported.
