Norwich police say seized fentanyl could have killed thousands

Norwich police said Thursday they intercepted enough fentanyl to kill tens of thousands of people.

According to a news release from Police Chief Reuben Roach, detectives on Wednesday morning successfully concluded a drug investigation, resulting in the seizure of 64 grams of fentanyl — an amount capable of causing tens of thousands of fatal overdoses.
