A 75-year-old woman who was injured in a fire at a Killingly home two weeks ago has died, according to state police.

Emergency crews responded to a house fire on Hartford Pike around 1:30 p.m. on Aug. 7 and 75-year-old Kathy Samuelson, of Killingly, was found inside, according to officials.

She was flown to a hospital and state police said she died on Aug. 21, two weeks after the fire.

The fire department said there were extreme hoarding conditions inside the home, which made it harder for crews to put out the flames.

This investigation is active and ongoing, according to state police.
