A 20-year-old woman was sentenced to 35 years in prison in connection with the 2022 drive-by shooting on Palmadelia Avenue in Sarasota that left one teen dead and two others injured.

Sha’Miya Williams was found guilty of manslaughter , a lesser charge, and eight counts of attempted murder by a Sarasota County jury on Jan. 10. Williams was initially charged with second-degree murder.
