FORT WAYNE, Ind. (WPTA) - A 28-year-old Fort Wayne man accused of being the driver in a deadly police pursuit earlier this year is now being held at the Allen County Jail

Brandon Tyrone Vershon Pearson is charged with causing death while resisting law enforcement, causing death while operating a vehicle while intoxicated, reckless homicide and driving while suspended, resulting in death in the crash that killed 28-year-old Jamela Renee Hathaway in April.

Pearson was charged in June, and a warrant was issued for his arrest. Last month, the Fort Wayne Police Department asked for the community’s help finding him.
