Every year, my husband and friends embark on an adventure we eagerly await — the annual trip to our little slice of paradise: the Black Canyon on Lake Mohave.

Nestled between Cottonwood Marina and Hoover Dam, this magical area is known for kayakers paddling upstream to the infamous Emerald Cove. Lake Mohave is the unmentioned or overshadowed lake in the chain by Powell, Mead and Havasu, but for us it is the ultimate retreat. ×
