NORTH CHARLESTON, S.C. (WCBD) – A 33-year-old man was arrested Wednesday after he was found with fentanyl, drug paraphernalia, and a gun.
An officer with the North Charleston Police Department conducted a traffic stop on a vehicle near Park Circle, during which the driver told the officer he had a gun.
The officer also noticed the smell of marijuana coming from inside the car and spotted the drug paraphernalia in plain view.
A gun was located between the driver’s seat and center console, and a search led to the discovery of roughly 8.08 grams of fentanyl in the glove compartment, police officials said.
Varzje Luther Bullock, 33, was charged with trafficking fentanyl and possession of a weapon during the commission of a violent crime.
Bullock was taken to the Al Cannon Detention Center
