Just two months after the verdict for Karen Read’s second trial was delivered, there is word that a new limited series is in the works about the infamous Boston cop murder case.

According to Deadline , the limited series will run on Prime Video and will star Elizabeth Banks as Read.

Banks, who grew up in Pittsfield, Massachussets, will executive produce the new title alongside "Brooklyn Nine-Nine" writer Justin Noble, who will also servce as showrunner, and “Big Little Lies” and “Ally McBeal” creator David E. Kelley.

The new show will be based off of the Law & Crime and Wondery podcast “Karen,” which discussed the trial(s) and catapulted it to public prominence.
