HBO is developing a series based on the upcoming book “The Fort Bragg Cartel: Drug Trafficking and Murder in the Special Forces,” which investigates narco-trafficking and unsolved homicides within U.S. Special Forces units stationed at Fort Bragg.

The cabler says it won the rights to the book, written by journalist and military veteran Seth Harp, in a competitive bidding war. HBO is currently searching for a writer and showrunner to lead the series.
