The Department of Workforce Services reports that Utah’s nonfarm payroll employment for July 2025 increased an estimated 2.3% across the past 12 months, with the state’s economy adding a cumulative 40,300 jobs since July 2024. Utah’s current job count stands at 1,763,600. Employment in Daggett County went down slightly to 545. In Duchesne County, employment increased to 9,227 and in Uintah County, employment increased to 16,149. “Robust job growth continues to fuel economic momentum, even as we see early signs of moderation in hiring trends” shares Ben Crabb, chief economist with the Utah Department of Workforce Services.
