Neil Young and his band the chrome hearts debuted a new anti-Trump protest song called “Big Crime” during their Chicago concert on Wednesday. The stomping anthem calls to “clean the White House out” and takes direct aim at the Trump administration’s takeover of Washington, DC’s law enforcement (and, now, Union Station ): “Don’t want soldiers on our streets/ There’s big crime in DC at the White House.”
In addition to fan-shot footage popping up on YouTube (watch below), Young posted the complete audio of the soundcheck as well as the track’s lyrics on his Neil Young Archives . “No more money to the fascists/ The billionaire fascists,” he sings, tying the new song to his other recent takedowns of the millionaire class like “Let’s Roll Again” and “If You’re a Fascist, Get a Tesla.”
