Scientists measured air pollution coming from the sewage-filled Tijuana River near the U.S.-Mexico border and found high levels hydrogen sulfide, which comes from sewage and has an odor resembling rotten eggs.

Residents have long said the polluted air brings headaches and eye irritation, and can make breathing difficult.
