ASHEVILLE, N.C. (FOX Carolina) - The Asheville Police Department said four suspects are in custody in connection with a drug operation.

Officers executed a search warrant at a home on Ascension Drive, where they reportedly found more than $7,600 in cash, multiple handguns, 202 grams of marijuana and a fentanyl press.

Police said Deonte Gardner was leaving the residence and had about 17 grams of fentanyl in his possession.

Deonte Gardner was arrested along with Lawrence Gardner, Rasheed Grant, and Damion Smith Jr.

Each is facing drug-related charges and Grant is also charged with possession of a stolen firearm.
