Wetumpka Mayor Jerry Willis is preparing for his fourth term after winning the mayor’s race this week.

Action 8 News caught up with the mayor, who told us how he feels being picked as the town’s leader once again.

“People recognize us throughout the Southeast. I want know how did you do? How did you do what you’ve done? And it’s very simple, we’re simple, we simply tell them to make a plan, and then you work your buy it. And that’s what we’re doing today. We did it yesterday. We’ll do it tomorrow. So that’s how we have gotten where we are, and it worked for us,” he said.

Willis defeated challenger David Fletcher, winning with 63% of the vote.
