Airports are really meant for drama. A player at the terminal, and suddenly half the league thinks he’s packing his bags for good. That’s exactly what happened on Wednesday when Cowboys star Micah Parsons was spotted at Dallas-Fort Worth. Fans immediately jumped to one conclusion: he’s gone.

Not so fast. NFL Network’s Jane Slater reported that Parsons flew out to get another opinion on the back injury that has bothered him all summer. Still, the sight of him leaving Dallas in the middle of a contract standoff set off alarm bells across Cowboys Nation. With Week 1 in Philadelphia just around the corner, the timing couldn’t feel worse.
